The second day of this wedding event was the “rehearsal dinner” – at Il Borro.
Personally, it was my favourite day. It had so many cool elements. The scotts (and one young american) were wearing their kilts and the ladies in colorful and stylish evening dresses. There was a live band playing relaxed background music, the “dinning room” was outside next to the pool, all the trees were colored by light, the decoration was superb and there was a fire show.
The most emotional part was when Meghan’s younger brother surprised the wedding couple with a special song. He knew their wedding song and had spent 6 months to learn how to play it on the piano. Before the dinner started he performed this song for all the guests. It was great to see how proud the parents were, the tears from the couple and the big smile from Justin (the younger brother) when he completed the song.
The dinner started off when the sun was slowly going down so it made the place look magical. After the sun went down the colorful light stepped in and took over. All trees were in different colors which gave the dinner an entire different look and feel.
Brenda Babcock who runs Italia Celebrations (www.italia-celebrations.com) planned this day. You have to check out the decoration and lighting in the photos below. The florist (www.noosheens.com) who came from Roma also did a great job!
The days were also captured by the videographers from Scotland – they are called cinematefilms (www.cinematefilms.co.uk). Two very chilled guys. When their video is online I will link it from here as well.
If anyone is looking for arranging an event in Tuscany then Il borro is great – great variety of places where various events can take place. First day was in the medieval village and the second day was by the pool with lots of grass around it. The final day was by the main house of the resort with an amazing view.
Here comes the photos from this lovely dinner ….
