Last wedding of the year took place at La Foce in Italy. In other words, I finished with a big bang. What a wedding!
Julia, who is the sister of the bride Rose, contacted me earlier this year to see if it was possible to cover her sister’s wedding. I am so glad she contacted me. Apparently she saw some of the weddings I had shot at Il Borro. What made it extra special was that Julia and Rose both in the wedding industry – they are florists in Bahrain. Their work can be seen here: http://www.singaporeflw.com/our-story/. When someone works in the wedding industry and would like you to cover their wedding then it is an extra honour, I think. But also extra nerves.
The wedding took place in October so the weather is not very reliable. The day before, for their rehearsal dinner, they had amazing weather. On the wedding day, not so much. It was pouring down more or less the entire day. However, this did not stop the guests. Even the cold weather did not stop them from having a great time. I loved the spirit of the guests who used blankets and even umbrellas to cover themselves from the wind. Together with the wedding guests I started a fire inside the villa. When the party started it all got very hot again and they looked to have an amazing time.
The wedding planners were Cindy Salgado and Singaporeflw. She did a fantastic job. It was pouring down but she still decided to see if we had any chance to do the wedding outdoors. It turned out it wasn’t and she came back with soaking wet shoes. That is commitment. She was also keen to make sure the service people were well fed and had everything they needed.
It was my first time to La Foce and I must say it is absolutely beautiful. It is perfect for big wedding and also multi day events. There are many places within the hotel you can have your ceremony, apero and party. And the villa itself is very cosy.
This blog post is very long but it was impossible to cut things out. I hope you will enjoy these wedding photos from the marvellous wedding venue in Tuscany.
