Beatrice & Reto – Stansstad/Engelberg – June 30 2012

 Welcome to the wedding of Beatrice and Reto!

For this post I decided to show some photos before talking about the wedding day. I think the photos above says it much better than I can. It was simply great. We started off by meeting at Seehotel Baumgarten before the ceremony. They did get ready separately so the first time they met was actually at the apero place (where the church and apero took place). The sun was very strong that day and we started shooting when it was right above us – therefore we went into the hotel for a little while but also took some shots outside which looks great IMO. The ceremony was at a church which was right by the water – it allowed all the guests to arrive by boat. Not a bad way to start a wedding! Especially with beautiful views of Pilatus. After the ceremony we all walked to Baumgarten hotel where the apero took place. Fresh fruits and cheese was served along with drinks. They released some balloons during the wedding and it was a bit funny because a lot of them got stuck in the tree right next to the apero – so a game of “release the balloon” started. Anyway, after that a boat took back the guests to their cards which then allowed us to take their supercool “vintage” car to Engelberg. We snapped some photos before running to the last lift which took us to the top of Engelberg. The rest of the evening took place at Berghotel Trübsee – a lovely hotel which is situated almost at the top. We took some portraits on top but it started to rain so we were limited in time. Then suddenly, the sun came from nowhere, and we managed to get a few more pics. The evening was wrapped up with the release of some Sky Lanterns. It was very windy so they were almost not allowed to release them but in the end they got the green flag. It was a very cool activity for the guests. Anyway, enough writing, enjoy the photos……
