Patricia & Fredy – Root / Emmen – June 16th 2012

Wedding in Rotkreuz

It was a warm and sunnday 16th of June 2012 when Patricia and Fredy got married in Root. The preparation started at Apart Hotel in Rotkreuz. The wedding guests had come all over the place so Rotkreuz was a good middle ground. The wedding preparation flew by much quicker then everybody expected. Initially they planned to have a little lunch in between hair/make up and getting dressed. It turned out that they had to merge the eating with getting dressed. If it would have failed I would have I gotten some different wedding photos – but they managed without any problem. Just like the rest of the wedding. After the preparation we all drove to Michaelskreuz in Root. What a location! The church was on top of a hill next to a couple of trees – with a view of the alps. Amazing!

Their wedding entrance was slighlty different than the normal one – the groom (fredy) was waiting outside church but was not allowed to see the bride (patricia). It was funny to be outside and see how concentrated he was NOT to look at her (a photo below showing this). It was a very relaxed and joyful wedding ceremony.

After the wedding ceremony the apero took place – before that some scottish bagpipes and gunshots (!). The apero took place on a very lovely farm – cold beers were served along with lots of different food.

The evening ceremony took place in Viscose in Emmen. An old factory that was converted to a restaurant. Very cool. I believe the bride grandfather had worked there before. Small world!

Enjoy the photos!
